Arnwood is a family owned stud operated by my daughter Ruth & myself Jaccy. Situated at "Reitcam" on the Cnr of Midland Hwy & Starritt Rd, Tatura, only a 15 minute drive from Shepparton and 2 hour & 15 minute drive from Melbourne CBD.

It has been my life long ambition to breed New Forest Ponies. Having been exposed to them from a very early age. My childhood home was situated in New Milton, which is part of the New Forest.

I became re-acquainted with the breed in 1999 with the purchase of a yearling colt. Many hours have been spent researching pedigrees to source suitable foundation stock with, not only temperament, type, movement & performance, but also diversity of bloodlines.

Outside stallions & imported semen have been used to help broaden the gene pool.

All our ponies have full equine passports and are registered in the New Forest Pony Stud Book (UK). Due to the recent finding of Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy Type 1 (PSSM1) in New Forest Ponies, we have now tested all of our stallions and 90% of our breeding mares all results have tested n/n clear copies of results can be found on under our pedigree page.

Since beginning the stud we have made regular trips to the New Forest, and have been fortunate enough to host vistors from the New Forest and the Continent.
